Ayurvedic Self Care for life change Workshop: Insights, Nature walks, Herbs, in Nature Meditation
A once in a lifetime opportunity to start a change in life.
Self-care is an essential part of becoming your best self. The ancient wisdom of Ayurveda teaches us that nourishing and supporting our unique pattern of energies and elements is the key to a balanced life.
In order for self-care to be effective, it needs to be part of a daily routine. This brings radical change in body, mind, and consciousness. Routine helps to establish balance in one’s constitution. It also regularizes a person’s biological clock, aids digestion, absorption and assimilation, and generates self-esteem, discipline, peace, happiness, and longevity.
Balance isn’t something you find, it’s something you create. Ayurveda, an ancient Indian health system, helps you to create this balance by focusing on your unique pattern of energies. Discover how this could work for you.
How it all started
Ayurveda is often regarded as the oldest health system in the world. Centred around the principle of balanced living, the philosophy started as an oral tradition as far back as 5,000 years ago. The main classical Ayurveda texts begin with accounts of medical knowledge being relayed from the Gods to sages, and then to human physicians.
Ayurveda teaches that everybody is born with certain physical and mental traits. Only when these are balanced are we healthy in mind, body and spirit. These traits are expressed as energies or doshas. Your predominant dosha is the one that best describes your personality, and Ayurveda offers advice on how to improve health and well-being by living according to which primary energy you possess. These guidelines range from how you should eat, what movement routine you should follow—all with the aim to bring you better balance.
Your doshas and you
Like your fingerprints, your pattern of energies is completely unique. Ayurveda breaks these down into three different doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Each dosha is associated with its own symbols, characteristics and suggests a way of living. Want to know for sure which dosha is dominant is your system? and start your journey of balanced living.
